  • Jim Shook is an accomplished designer and manager who has made significant contributions to transportation products world wide.
    He was the principle designer on well known classic cars including the Pontiac Firebirds made famous in the Smokey and the Bandit movies as well on Cadillac models that are now highly collectable. He was a founder of Zebra Motors which was one of the first modern EV companies in the U.S., and had his own consulting design office in Palo Alto for 25 years specializing in transportation product design. At Bombardier in Canada he was responsible for mass transit vehicle design and for seat manufacturing (a $3M/yr business). At Tandem Computers his team achieved 35 International Design Awards and he was responsible for the company achieving ISO 9001 certification.
    As a National Vice President of the Industrial Designers Society of America and as a Professor at Stanford, San Jose State, and Academy of Art Universities he has taught many designers who are responsible for vehicle designs all over the world.
